 Frequently Asked Questions

Q.  How much do you charge?

     A.  We don't post our prices on the internet, we ask that you call for a personal quote.  Keep in mind that you don't always get what you pay for, and that a "good price deal" may be lacking in both experience and quality.  Your most expensive may be very cheap in content.  Value comes from experience, professionalism and show expertise.  Be sure you are hiring a qualified and experienced professional for your special event.  We believe that we offer a very fair market price for our services while offering only the best in entertainment.

Q.   What kind of music do you play?

     A.  We play many types styles and tempos.  From the 1950's to the top Billboard charts, we cover all decades and genres.  The actual music played for the show will be chosen by you and should be selected to satisfy the group in attendance adn their tastes.  We are constantly updating our music library so their is a very strong chance we will have what you are looking for.  Also provided with our contract is a Music Request List where the styles of music desired, special requests by song title and artist, plus a portion to list songs that you do not want played.  We find this helpful to get a feel for your crowd and their likes, as well as yours, and then apply that to the show.  After all, this is YOUR SHOW and you should hear what you want.

Q.  What is your policy regarding obscene lyrics and content in music?

     A.  As a professional DJ service, we practice a "no obsenity" policy regarding the music that we play no matter what type of event.  Please discuss this with the prospective DJ srevice before hand to avoid any confusion.  We try our very best to censor all of our music before it goies into production.  If a song is requested that has either obscene lyrics or adult related material within the song, we may ask your permission to play the requested song, or wait until later in the evening when most children would be absent from the event.

Q.  What is your policy regarding Alcohol (drinking on the job)?

     A.  As a professional DJ service, we do not drink before or during our shows.  We are focused on the event and will not bring, purchase or accept any alcoholic beverages while on the job.

Q. What is a typical nights program?

     A.  It is difficult to say what a "typical" night would be.  Everyone has different tastes and the timing is different, therefore every show is different.  We do not pre-mix our music prior to the event, all music is typically picked out "on the fly", meaning that we go with the flow and select music that is working at that particular time of the event.  We do try to satisfy as many people as possible without making anyone feel like their music tastes are being excluded.

Remember, this is your night (event) so any or all of this is subject to change at your request.  We're there to make you happy so if you have anything you would like to include, exclude, rearrange, etc, just let us know and we will work together to make it very special.

Q.  The party is going great and we're having a wonderful time, how much to you charge to stay later?

     A.    Most DJ's wil be happy to keep the party going if the don't have any other obligations.  Check will the venue that your event is being held and inquire whether or not they would be available to extend your time.  The extended time is usually billed at a flat rate per hour and you can ask when calling or ask the DJ at the time of your event.

Q.  When do you set up and how long does it take?

     A.  As a general rule, we try to set up around noon the day of the event.  If your event is out of town, we will set up at least two hours prior to any guests showing up at the venue.  Details will be discussed with you when you call.  We like to set up earlier in the day for several reasons:  This keeps are staging time out of your way, which reduces any noise, keeps the attention on you rather than us wheeling equipment in.  This also allows us time to make sure all of our system is working properly and allows ample amount of time to make any repairs that need to be made.  It also gives us time to do a sound and light check without disturbing any of your guests.  In most cases, time required for setup and breakdown is not considered "billable" time.  We usually take about 20 minutes for breakdown time and the end of your event.

Q.  Do you or will you perform outside?

     A.  Yes.  Just make sure you let us know in advance.  We have our own canopy to cover the equipment from the elements, but need to know to bring it along.  Please check with your local laws, outdoor events may require you obtain a sound permit.  We can set up a small sound system to play music, provide you with micorphones for announcements and such (may cost extra).  If you are planning on an event outside, please keep in mind that we will need a power source, in most cases we carry numerous power cords.

Q.  How do you dress for an event?

     A.  In blue jeans and a Metallica T-shirt.  Just kidding.  Dress code is something that will vary according to the event and should be discussed in advance.  Typical wedding attire will be dress slacks, and button up dress shirt doning our logo.  Please consider what you would like the DJ to wear, and then discuss that with us so there are no surprises the day of the show.

Q.  We are considering using your Dj services.  Can we come see you perform somewhere?

     A.  We would be happy to invite you to one of our shows.  Because of the private nature of most events (Weddings) we would not feel comfortable inviting people without the contracting party's approval first.  We also do many other types of functions including open to the public events, feel free to ask though and we will try our best to accomodate your request.  We actually encourage you to check out our system and see what we have to offer.

Q.  We're not sure if we want a DJ or a live band, what do you think?

     A.  Obviously this is a decision that you need to make.  I respect the art of live music and would never stand in the way of a live performance.  With anything, there are pros and cons for each and a place for everything.  It really comes down to the atmosphere you wish to project and the versatility you expect for your event.  Mobile music is certainly versatile, we can mange the sound levels better, mange your guests requests better, change from one genre to another, all the while providing you with non stop entertainment without set breaks.

Q.  Do you accept credit card payments?

     A.  Yes.  We can accept credit card payments, please click on the Prices / Payments button to the left of our webpage, this will assist you making your payment by credit card.

Q.  Who did your website?

     A.  We did it ourselves.....Like it?   :  )
